From 2014 to November 2015 is made of polymeric material ID-1 according to State Standards of Ukraine 614-97 (ISO / IEC 7810) «Identification Cards. Physical Characteristics». Records on the front side of the requisites «Surname”, “Name”, and “Patronymic” shall be duplicated in letters of the Latin alphabet. The text in italics shall not be printed. Responsible authority on issuance is State Automobile Inspection.
From November 2015 to 2021 is made of polymeric material ID-1 according to State Standards of Ukraine ISO/IEC 7810:2008 «Identification Cards. Physical Characteristics» (ISO/IEC 7810:2003, IDT). Records on the front side of the requisites «Surname”, “Name”, and “Patronymic” shall be duplicated in letters of the Latin alphabet. The text in italics shall not be printed. Responsible authority on issuance is Territorial Service Center of the Ministry of Interior Affairs (TSC).
13) Driving licence sample issued from March 26, 2021 as a plastic ID-1 card, contain an implanted security element, made with multilayer polymeric material — polycarbonate in accordance with State Standards of Ukraine ISO/IEC 7810:2008 «Identification Cards. Physical Characteristics» (ISO/IEC 7810:2003, IDT). Front and back graphic images and textual information printed with offset and screen printing. Multicomponent security printing is used during the production. The text on both sides of the driving licence is in Ukrainian and English and printed with IR-invisible black ink. Responsible authority on issuance is Territorial Service Center of the Ministry of Interior Affairs (TSC).
14) A driving licence sample issued from 26 December 2023. The national driving licence is a plastic ID-1 card with an integrated security element. The licence format is 53.98 x 85.6 (±0.75) millimetres and can have the tolerance in accordance with DSTU ISO/IEC 7810:2008. Graphic images and textual information are printed on the front and back sides of the blank form by offset and screen printing. The blank form is produced using multi-component security printing. The licence design is reproduced by offset, irs offset and screen printing. The design is created by using special security background grids, representing ornamental and geometric patterns, and elements made of negative and positive text in several languages.
In the process of personalisation, the blank form is laminated on both sides with a protective transparent reflective achromatic coating and a film of increased strength.
This coating contains a special marking consisting of three letters and six digits, a metallised holographic image of the MIA emblems of different sizes, staggered in parallel rows. Inside the emblems there is a stylised image of the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, the background of which is made of text illegible to the human eye, which can be decoded by a laser device and under the influence of refracted light reflected at a certain angle.
Note. The name of the manufacturer and the alphanumeric designation of the order number, as manufacturer’s technological marking, is applied to the forms of driving licences, specified in paragraphs 3-7, 9-13.
